Applicants with storefronts (except those who sell at farm gate, home or tasting rooms) are not permitted.

Crafters/Liquor vendors from outside our catchment area are not accepted.
Background
The Penticton Farmers’ Market Society was founded in 1991 and is an independent non-profit society registered under the BC Society Act (society number S-0027913). Our mission is to provide a venue for small-scale farmers to sell their produce directly to customers. Vendor Members and some Crafters who have attended consistently for a large portion of each season have reserved spaces along the 100 block of Main Street.
Applying
If you are applying for the first time, your application is forwarded to the board of directors for consideration. If approved, you will be invited to participate in the market as a casual vendor.
Casual vendors are able to select individual Saturdays or a block (10 Saturdays, 20 Saturdays, or the full outdoor season of 28 or 29 Saturdays). Availability of the chosen dates cannot be guaranteed. When member vendors are not present at the market, casual vendors will be rotated into their stalls. The market manager aims to give casual vendors as much notice as possible, but occasionally changes will be made on market day.
If you are a farmer vendor you may apply for membership in the society after attending at least one full season of the market.
Here are a few more things you need to know:
We do not supply tables, tents, or weights.
Vendors are responsible for ensuring they have the required permits, insurance and MarketSafe or FoodSafe certification (if applicable). Check out http://foodsafe.ca/index.html for additional information.
