Welcome to 2021!

We hope you all had a great winter! We are excited to welcome you back to the Penticton Farmers' Market beginning Saturday, April 17,2021.

Please note that we will be following the latest Public Health Order for Farmers' Markets in British Columbia and will be operating similarly to last year in following our COVID-19 Pandemic Safety Plan. In order for our market to continue to operate within the City of Penticton and Interior Health, we need to work together to follow the rules and keep each other safe. These rules are in place to ensure the health and safety of our customers and vendors.

The perimeter of the market will be taped off with entry to the market restricted to 75 customers at a time, using one entry point at Main Street and Lakeshore Drive. Pedestrian traffic will flow one-way through the market to an exit point at Westminster Ave. West. There is also an exit to access the washrooms at Link Road. Hand sanitizer and handwashing facilities will be available on-site and we ask that you leave your pets at home.

Signage and markers throughout the market will reinforce physical distancing and remind customers to regularly wash or sanitize their hands, refrain from gathering, and wash their produce when they return home. No consumption of food or drink will be permitted within the market. Customers will be permitted to use their reusable bags but must bag their own items. The Penticton Farmers’ Market asks that no personal items be set down on surfaces within the market.

Typically, the Penticton Farmers’ Market would have up to 80 vendors each week, but to maintain physical distancing requirements this number has been scaled back to 56, with produce, food-products and crafts permitted for sale at the market at this time. A minimum of 2 metres or a partition will separate each vendor and enhanced cleaning procedures will be in place.

Please note that the 100 block of Main Street in Penticton will be closed to all vehicle traffic on Saturdays from 6am-2pm until October 30th, 2021.
